Urban Circus begins with our professional circus performers who put on a show that is as edgy as it is entertaining. In charge is The Ringmaster – part MC, part DJ, part street performer, he brings his unique sense of humour and attitude to the event. As the opening performance ends The Ringmaster announces to the audience that in no time at all they too will be able to perform all the acts they have just seen.

The audience, now as performers, are split into teams and move around separate zones to be instructed in such skills as juggling, extreme Diablo, plate spinning and rolla bolla, amongst others. At each zone the delegates will be mentored by our professional circus performers. The skills look hard at first but, under their expert guidance, are soon mastered.

After completing training in each discipline the teams then have to show off their new skills to The Ringmaster – to the sounds of Dick Dale, heavy metal and punk classics. Good or bad, he will let the teams know what he thinks of each of the performances. Focusing on the team, Urban Circus is all about helping and supporting others to achieve their goals. This adrenaline-fuelled, hugely enjoyable and very different event will inspire participants to go beyond their personal and shared expectations of what they thought they could achieve.
